don't have...

that much time to post right now. i'm in a hong kong starbux style coffee joint. the drinks are good but expensive (about 50 cents more than in the U.S.). at least there's free internet and wi-fi...

china is NOT the place for internet cafes though. of course, i was in the middle of nowhere for the past 10 days ;) wow. seeing where mom was raised and even her old house was pretty astonishing. when we went to the village, there were people who even remembered her after 60 years!

the college reunion was such a great homecoming for her. i think about 25 people attended this year...and only three were women. we ate in the hotel every morning for dim sum and had dinner at a seafood restaurant next door or at a funky hole in the wall open air restaurant about a mile away, which specialized in rice hot pots. i guess goose and eel are the main meats if you've had enough chicken and fish...

yesterday, my sister and i came to hong kong for the last three days of the trip, while our mom and her friend are staying back in taishan for a couple more days before going to beijing.

argh. i gotta go. there's a fifteen minute limit while others are waiting. i guess i shouldn't have gone through and deleted the 150 new emails i've gotten in the past couple weeks.

before i go, here's a pic of the skyline outside of the coffee place.
